In October, Sharpe® took delivery of a 21” hollow spindle Mazak PMC lathe to our Brisbane facility at Pineapple Street, Zillmere. The new CNC delivers exceptional productivity and increased versatility across Sharpe®’s product range.

The CNC was procured to specifically cater for clients requesting our Sharpe® Premium Flush Joint (SPFJ ®) to be integrally threaded on large diameter casing. In addition to our existing 15″ Hollow Spindle CNC Lathe, we now have a fully automatic CNC machine with a pipe feeding rack and appropriate tooling to integrally thread SPFJ® in the following sizes:
- 10 ¾”
- 12 ¾”
- 14”
- 16”
- 18”
- 20”
Sharpe® are also engineering a coarse thread to suit conductor casing in GOAF drainage wells. The design will be engineered to suit casing sizes from 10-3/4 to 20”.
