Sharpe is pleased to announce the expansion of our operations into a modern office and spacious workshop facility at 52 Yarraman Place, Virginia.
Sharpe’s newest facility on Brisbane’s North Side allows us to build capacity and share the manufacturing workload from our existing workshops in Roma, Chinchilla and Zillmere. Our existing Zillmere facility will remain the hub for threading of casing tubulars and associated accessories. Having both Brisbane facilities within a 10-minute drive allows us to share resources where necessary including employees, stock material and consumables. The new Virginia facility totals 4,050sqm and is in close proximity to local and international supply chain resources via major arterial road networks and only a short distance to Brisbane’s Airport, Port and CBD.
The workshop comes readily equipped with a 20T gantry crane and 2,293sqm of undercover office and workshop space. The availability of large power supply at the location is beneficial to the operation of new state of the art CNC machining and turning centers, the latest ITC systems including an established company ERP system.
Sharpe’s Brisbane General Manager, Jon Sharpe described the expansion as “an ideal opportunity to further expand our range of products we manufacture for the drilling, mining, and resource industries. The new workshop and offices allow the company to continue our growth strategy and build capacity to better service the growing demands of our clients.”
For more information on the workshop’s capability visit Virginia Facility and keep an eye on the Careers section of our website as we continue to advertise opportunities for entry level to highly experienced workshop and office personnel.
