BOP (Blow Out Preventer) & Pressure Control Equipment Servicing
Sharpe offers routine servicing and testing of BOP stacks in accordance with API Standard 53 and API 16AR. It is necessary for Sharpe to review all original documentation and service history of the BOP prior to commencing initial inspection.
Sharpe’s periodic maintenance and pressure test of BOP’s include strip-down, sand blast and inspection (including MPI) to allow identification and measure dimensional tolerances. Sharpe also have in-house capability to undertake BOP repairs in line with API requirements.
All repair works is undertaken in accordance with a OEM recommendations, tolerances and Sharpe’s quality system that is certified to API Spec Q1. All BOP services will be accompanied by a full documentation package offering full traceability of services carried out by Sharpe.
Sharpe work with a number of BOP Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) on the major 5 year major test and inspect commonly referred to as “re-certification”.
Typical workshop based service work for pressure control equipment includes equipment wash-down, documented disassembly, refurbishment, replacement and servicing of used or new parts, bench test (if applicable), pressure test and re-application of paint. Sharpe rely on a trusted supply network to source and stock OEM approved and API certified spare parts. Sharpe typically assist clients with the workshop servicing of the following equipment:
- Well Head Pressure Equipment servicing including Christmas Tree and C-Sections Assemblies
- Frac Valve assemblies
- Gate Valves (1-1/2” – 7-1/16”) all styles
- Choke valves and manifolds
- Koomey Units
- Mud Crosses & Rotating Adaptors
- Completion tools servicing – Torque Anchors, Gas Anchors, Magnum Tools, PC Pump Rotor and Stator modifications
