Our range of quality tubing accessories are specifically manufactured for the oil and gas industry. Engineered for maximum durability our tubular accessories support efficient operations in wellhead and downhole applications. Manufactured to meet API standards, our range of tubing accessories provide reliable performance, safety, and long-lasting protection in the most demanding conditions.

Our range of Tubing Accessories includes:

Sharpe® can supply tubing pup joints in a range of OD sizes, commonly 2 3/8”, 2 7/8”, 3 1/2″ and 4” with threaded pin & box as EUE/ NUE/ NU or premium threaded connections.

Although most commonly supplied in J55, we can source tubing pups in higher grade N80, L80 or P110. Pup Joints are made to order in customer nominated lengths.

Sharpe® undertake slotting or perforating based on client nominated flow area or slot configuration. All of Sharpe® supplied pup joints are manufactured in accordance with API 5-CT.

Sharpe®’s Blast Joints are manufactured from heavy walled tubing joint which are then run in the tubing string and positioned along side a perforated zone section to resist external erosion.

The OD and threaded end matches that of the production tubing string. Blast Joints are designed to resist downhole erosion caused by high velocity production fluid entering from that high-gas content zone. Blast Joints also act as an thick wall barrier to deter formation sand from cutting through the tubing string.

We manufacture a range of tubing swages in single and batch volumes from ANSI 4140 fully traceable material. The dimensions and the threaded connections of the swages all strictly confirm with API 5B & 5CT. All swages are phosphated prior to dispatch. Common connections include EUE, NU, NUE, NPT in tubing sizes 2 3/8”, 2 7/8” and 3 ½”.

Sharpe® undertake finish machining or modification to Progressive Cavity Pump (PCP) assemblies utilised in oil and gas production wells.

Our CNC lathes are capable of machining weld prep or threaded connections to top and bottom of pump stators. Machined threads on these components fully comply and are gauged to API Spec 5B-5CT. Common thread forms include 2 3/8” EUE, 2 7/8” EUE, 3 ½” EUE, 4” NUE etc.

Common modified to semi-finished PCP Pumps include an in-lathe push back of the pump’s rubber component, machining a recess at either end of the element and machining of the centralizing sleeve.

X and XN Landing Profile Nipples designed to provide secure and reliable seating locations for downhole flow control devices within the tubing string. Both X and XN Nipples serve similar functions but differ in internal profile dimensions and locking/sealing characteristics.

Selection of X or XN is typically based on tool type, well conditions, and operator preference. The X Profile has a larger internal bore profile designed for standard locking mandrels and flow control devices. The XN Profile has a reduced bore profile compared to X provides enhanced sealing and locking capability.

Sharpe® are able to customise the design as per clients specific requirements including machining X or XN profiles in various drilling tools and subs.

PSNs are critical downhole swages machined with a landing profile and run within tubing strings in rod pump applications. PSN’s ensure accurate placement, sealing integrity, and efficient operation of subsurface pumping systems.

Sharpe® PSNs are engineered to suit specific well and pump requirements, including tubing size and grade, pump type, seating configuration combined with wellborn depth, pressure and flow conditions.

Pin/ Pin configuration in EUE and NPT thread forms, lengths made to customer request.

Material grade selection is dependent on tubing the nipples are made-up to. Also available as a reducing Nipple. Nipples can be galvanised or manganese phosphated and supplied with thread protectors.

Sharpe® design and manufacture Pump Out Plugs to a range of burst pressures and tubing and thread pressure combinations. These components are manufactured from aluminium 4140 body with brass sheer screws or pins. We can also supply a slotted pup joint that is installed below the pump out plug. A unique design, our dissolvable Pump Out Plugs have a coating on one side of the plug so that it will not dissolve until it is ejected from the sub body.

Burst discs are crucial to maintaining safety and integrity during drilling operations by managing excessive pressure. Made of ceramic material in a convex shape our Burst Discs can withstand pressures rated up to 10,000 psi below the disc, and are designed to rupture when pressure of 1000 psi is applied above the disc. This product eliminates the need for a solid pump out plug with brass pins, as the ceramic material will burst and fragment inside the tubing string.

Sharpe® offers two types of tubing drains to meet diverse operational needs:

Burst Disc Style:
This design features a burst disc that ruptures at a predetermined pressure, allowing the fluid within the tubing to safely drain into the annulus.

Sliding Sleeve Style:
Equipped with brass shear screws, this style shears at a specified pressure, enabling the fluid inside the tubing string to flow into the annular space.

Sharpe® manufactures these tubing drains in various sizes and pressure ratings to ensure optimal performance and reliability across different applications.

Shear Couplings are strategically placed along the rod string to facilitate easy disconnection. Sharpe® manufactured Sheer Coupling’s are designed to shear at a predetermined load, and allow for the efficient removal of stuck tools down the hole or enabling disconnection of the rod string and are available in a range of sizes and specifications. By simplifying and accelerating the removal process, Shear Couplings help to reduce costs and effort, saving valuable time during operations.

Integral manufactured from one billet, our tubing Lift Nubbins are designed with a shackle lug and a choice of a threaded pin or box.

Each unit is certified and load tested according to Australian Lifting Standard (AS4991).

Also available as a spinner-style haul nubbins and with API or premium threaded pin or box connections.

Die Collars are used in the recovery of parted or stuck sucker rod strings during well intervention and workover operations. Sharpe® manufactured Die Collars are available in range of sizes designed to engage with the internal diameter of a fish incorporating an internal gripping mechanism, enabling operators to engage and retrieve broken rod sections where conventional tools may be ineffective.

The most common design feature of our Die Collars are a tapered thread with hardened cutting teeth (wickers), available with either right-hand or left-hand.

Similar to tubing swages, these can be manufactured in any configuration of pin/box commonly machined with 7/8” and 1” API sucker rod or polish rod connections. Designed to cross over strings of rod or to connect downhole rod accessories.

Sharpe® manufactured Gas Anchors are designed to separate free gas from produced fluids in rod-pumped wells, improving pump efficiency and overall production performance. Gas Anchors are critical in gas-producing wells where entrained gas can negatively impact pump operation, causing gas lock, reduced fill efficiency, and increased wear.

The Gas Anchors manufactured to suit tubing strings (generally 2 3/8”, 2 7/8” or 3.5” EUE) act as a downhole separation device, allowing free gas to disengage from the fluid before it enters the pump, ensuring more stable and efficient operation.

By reducing fluid velocity, the anchor is designed to separate gas from the liquid phase due to density differences and then venting gas back into the annulus.

Operators incorporating a Gas Anchor in high solids content wells report on improved pump performance by ensuring the pump handles predominantly liquid rather than gas-laden fluid.

Sharpe® manufactures and supplies BPV (Back Pressure Valve) and HPBV (High Pressure Back Pressure Valve) Tubing Swages designed to enable safe installation and operation of back pressure valves within tubing strings.

These tools are critical for:

  • Maintaining well control during completion and intervention.
  • Preventing backflow from the wellbore.
  • Protecting surface equipment and personnel during operations.

They provide a secure interface between the tubing and valve system, supporting well control, pressure management, and safe intervention operations.

Our BPV and HPBV Tubing Swages enable accurate connection alignment between tubing and valve, pressure-rated integrity and sealing for safe operation.

During drilling, debris and solid-laden fluids can collect on surfaces and in crevices of drilling equipment, potentially obstructing operations or causing damage to crucial sealing areas. Jetting Subs from Sharpe® are engineered to efficiently clear drill cuttings, mudcake, and other debris from key drilling components like the riser, blowout preventer (BOP), and wellhead.

Each Jetting Sub features standard drill pipe box-up/pin-down connections and threaded side ports to accommodate bit nozzles. This design ensures effective debris removal, maintaining smooth operation and reducing downtime during drilling processes.
